Get active and complete a marathon at your own pace! Cover 42.2 kilometers between April 7 & 21 2018 and help make a difference for Think Pink!

Whether you’re a daily walker, regular short distance runner or marathon champion, the Yarra’s Edge Progressive Marathon is the perfect way to get active, fit and healthy this April while raising money for breast cancer charity Think Pink.

Open to people of all fitness levels, participants are invited to complete the 42.2km marathon distance at their own pace over a two week period. Track your distance by joining our Yarra’s Edge Progressive Marathon Strava group and complete the distance between 7 - 21 April.

You can walk 3kms a day or jog 21kms over two days - how you get to the finish line is completely up to you!

Entry is $25 with all funds going to breast cancer charity Think Pink.

Simply click on the ‘Donate Now’ button below and you will be taken to the Think Pink donation page. Here you will make your tax deductible $25 donation. It is essential you note down your Donation Reference Number and enter it along with your details in the Entry Form below.

JOIN THE STRAVA GROUP!

Your distance will be logged and recorded using free fitness tracking app, Strava, available for download from the App store on your phone.

Simply create a Strava account if you don’t already have one and join our special 'Yarra’s Edge Progressive Marathon Strava' club to participate. Ensure you have your phone or fitness device and Strava up and running as you log your kilometers!

How to find the Strava club to track your distance:
1. Search for the 'Yarra’s Edge Progressive Marathon' Strava Club by hovering over the Explore tab at the top of the Strava app.
2. Select ‘Club’s from the drop-down menu that appears
3. Search ’Yarra’s Edge Progressive Marathon’ to find the club and join.

GET FUNDRAISING!

Create a Gofundraise Account and get fundraising for Think Pink. Once your account is set up, reach out to friends and family and ask that they support your Yarra’s Edge Progressive Marathon effort all in the name of a good cause! Go to the 'Events' dropdown menu and the 'Find an Event' page and search for the Yarra’s Edge Progressive Marathon.

All money raised goes to breast cancer charity Think Pink - an independent foundation that raises funds to provide free services to breast cancer patients and their families, assisting them with their journey through breast cancer.

All donations are directly used to provide services such as:

  • Free unlimited counselling with Senior Breast Care Nurses;
  • Therapeutic massage and exercise classes;
  • Professionally fitted free wigs;
  • Free accommodation for families from regional and country Victoria;
  • Special events and classes for those returning to work after breast cancer;
  • Financial counselling to cope with the cost of breast cancer; and
  • Classes such as art therapy, creative writing and family social activities.
